There is a single poster session. All posters will be displayed Monday, June 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, and must be promptly removed afterward. Posters can be set-up starting at 4pm.
The poster display halls are in the Great Hall and Glass Pavilion on the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus. Presenters will be assigned a number and a specific location for their poster. All materials to hang posters will be provided, and volunteers will be on-site to assist as needed.
What should posters contain?
Posters should be self-contained and self-explanatory, allowing different viewers to proceed on their own, while leaving the author free to discuss points raised by viewers. An effective poster should balance figures and text, and highlight the main points. Avoid long texts and small fonts.
Be professional. Wear your name tag. Do not block your poster. Greet visitors and introduce yourself. Let visitors know that they are welcome to look at the poster, and that you are ready to answer questions. Initiate conversation by informing the viewer that you are happy to give them a two minute tour.
