Location: Levering Hall, Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus (3400 N. Charles St, Baltimore, MD, 21218).

Registration is now open. (as of March 1, 2012). Early registration closes Sunday, April 15, 2012. Late registration closes Wednesday, May 23, 2012.  After that date all attendees will need to register onsite at the meeting (or by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The registration fee schedule is given in the following table:

Registration for members, nonmembers, and students includes access to the opening reception on Sunday, the technical sessions, exhibit, poster session, coffee breaks, and the Symposium Banquet on Tuesday evening.  Guest registrations ($150) include the opening reception on Sunday; exhibit and poster session, and the Symposium Banquet on Tuesday evening.  Attendees are encouraged to register in advance as onsite fees will be higher.

Cancellation policy between March 1 - April 15: Full refund minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellation policy between April 16-May 23: Full refund minus a $200 cancellation fee. There will be no refunds after June 1, 2011.

Registration packet pick-up location is Levering Hall on Sunday June 10 from 12:00pm to 7:30pm.

International participants can attend the 86th ACS Colloids & Surface meeting:

1. By participating in the visa waiver program available to citizens carrying passports from 36 participating countries with up-to-date information on U.S. State Department web site.

2. By applying for a B1/B2 visa for visitors coming to the U.S. for professional visits. These participants will need a letter for their visa application confirming their registration for the meeting by contacting JHU conference services (to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). He will send you an electronic letter of acceptance so that you may present it to the appropriate issuing officials. We are unable to directly contact embassies or various officials on your behalf. We can only issue the letter to you that is your proof of acceptance and potential attendance to the conference.
